Sales Manager – Staffing Industry
Location: San Diego, CA
Base Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $200,000 – $260,000

Key Details:
- Reports To: VP of Sales
- Team Size: Approximately 5- 10 sales representatives
- Qualifications: Must have staffing industry experience, sales expertise, and proven leadership skills
Position Overview:
As Sales Manager, you will take charge of leading a high-performing sales team while maintaining your own book of business. This role involves developing client relationships, mentoring team members, and driving revenue growth for the firm.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Build and manage your personal book of business to drive revenue growth.
- Support sales reps in identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Establish strong, multi-level relationships within client organizations.
- Represent the company at networking events to enhance visibility and connections.
- Work closely with team members in the field to develop sales strategies and achieve goals.
Team Leadership:
- Hire, train, and develop a top-tier sales team.
- Provide hands-on coaching and support to ensure team success.
- Set and communicate clear performance goals and incentives.
- Plan for seasonal demand changes by aligning recruitment and sales efforts.
Sales Management:
- Monitor daily team activities and ensure efficient workflows.
- Analyze sales performance metrics and financial statements to align with objectives.
- Track KPIs and identify areas for improvement across the team.
Client Relations and Recruiting:
- Partner with recruiting teams to deliver exceptional client service.
- Meet with clients regularly to assess satisfaction and strengthen relationships.
- Proactively engage former and current clients to secure new job orders.
Qualifications:
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior staffing industry experience is required.
- Proven ability to lead and grow a sales team.
- Strong business development and client relationship skills.
Technical Proficiency:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM experience is preferred.
